Red Sox Patriots’ Day Celebration

Every year since 1959, the Red Sox celebrate Patriots’ Day and the Boston Marathon by playing at Fenway Park. Bostonians have excitedly filled Fenway Park and Kenmore Square to celebrate Patriots’ Day for over 50 years. In the area, people enjoy the marathon, food, and, of course, baseball.

Planning on watching the Red Sox this Marathon Monday? Before or after the game, grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants close by!

For breakfast, consider trying the Busy Bee diner in Brookline. Located right down Beacon Street, Busy Bee is a diner straight out of the 1960’s. They serve an amazing assortment of breakfast foods sure to satisfy your appetite and won’t break the bank. After a satisfying breakfast, walk over to Fenway along the marathon route and enjoy the festivities with thousands of other people.

For those that want to stay a bit closer to Fenway, Kenmore Square boasts several awesome places to get a bite to eat. Eastern Standard has a great outdoor seating area right along the marathon route, making it super simple to eat a tasty lunch, grab a drink, and watch the runners all at the same time. A few doors down from Eastern Standard is an Uno’s Pizzeria. While Uno’s doesn’t offer outside seating, it is a great place for lunch before heading to the ballgame.

The 21+ crowd has nearly endless options for places to grab a drink around Kenmore and Fenway Park. Each bar, pub, or tavern offers something a bit different from the others. To those staying closer to the ballpark, there are tons of bars along Lansdowne Street, Brookline Ave, and Boylston Street. Check out a few places we think you’ll enjoy celebrating Patriots’ day.
