Are you going skiing in Massachusetts this winter? Now you can add a little friendly competition to your day on the slopes.
Massachusetts, the state of sport and competition, will serve as host to two stops along this year’s Vertical Challenge competition series: Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in Hancock, MA on Saturday, February 10, and Nashoba Valley Ski Area in Westford, MA on Sunday, February 18.
The Vertical Challenge consists of free and accessible ski and snowboard races held at mountains across the northeast each year. The events begin and end in Vermont, and will travel throughout the season, gracing the mountains of Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, and of course, Massachusetts.
Massachusetts is among the top tier states in offering premiere destinations for skiing and snowboarding that accommodate the whole family. The region’s rolling hills and mountains create the ideal setting for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities to enjoy.
Each stop in the Vertical Challenge series offers participants the chance to race for the coveted gold, silver, and bronze medals in categories divided by age and gender. Along with the races, activities, giveaways, and enthusiastic crew members on-site, the vibrant atmosphere dares participants not to have a good time.
The Vertical Challenge is the perfect activity for free and rewarding family fun, accessible to all ages and skill levels. Join the Vertical Challenge crew in celebrating winter sports and festivals at one of their stops for an exciting day on the mountain.
