The National Women’s Hockey League and Team Russia will once again face off in exhibition games when the Russian’s travel to the United States as part of their preparation for the 2018 Winter Olympics. The NWHL/Team Russia Summit Series will take place between October 11 and 23, when team is in the United States for games and training.
Russia will play two pre-season games each against the Boston Pride, Connecticut Whale and New York Riveters. Last season, Russia played five games in the United States, which included one against the Pride, in which Boston triumphed at the Warrior Ice Arena. The two games between the Pride and Team Russia will likely take place once again at the Warrior Ice Arena. Last year, Russia played a five-game series against NWHL teams, and the NWHL teams won three of those games. The schedule of games will be released later this summer, with ticket information to be published when it becomes available.
